So I hear that something is happening in 2015 ... yes that's right; a new set of Sam Mustafa rules just in time for 200 years of Waterloo. Whilst details are sparse the main premise is that each unit on the table is a brigade (similar to Volley and Bayonet); thus no need for lines, squares, columns etc ... just a brigade equivalent stomping around the battlefield.

So how does that affect those of use with traditional Nappy armies prepared for WRG (remember those rules) formation changes. SIMPLES ... SABOT bases. Here are some images of 1st Old Guard Grenadiers (mid 1980s Minifigs) underdoing the transformation:

Epic for the costume drama fans then.

And as an aside, already done in Peter Pig's Ironclad Land Battles supplement. Good idea for 3mm.

I'm more than happy with the Napoleonic rules that Phil and I developed, so it's going to have to be a amazingly good set of rules to make me use them. Although, I'm happy to try them out of course.

I've played Maurice and they are ok, but they aren't quick play, so I will be interested in seeing how Blucher compares with Maurice on a Wednesday night.
