I got the impression from Francis and Steve that they are interested in this genre, but I'm not sure if they have chosen a scale or set of rules yet.

Any info chaps?

Well there's Dropzone Commander which I like except the alien dropships are ugly and it all seems wierdly low tech for the space future.

The other game I know of in this genre at 15mm is heavy gear, which is a mecha game.

Gruntz would be a good one for the club.

If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything...

So FBH, have you made a decision yet?

I would have a chat with Mick, James and Rob about rule sets.

You may want to discuss this whole thing with Steve T and the rest of the club before you commit to anything, as I get the impression there are few members interested in this "period". Just before everybody embarks on the same period in different scales!

Not yet. I was honestly thinking of buying a box set of dropzone commander, ugly drop ships and annoying lack of stand off weapons aside and giving it a try.

That or going straight to 28 mil and going for infinite

Hi

Going for 15mm myself as 28mm just looks a bit odd on a 6 by 4 table especially if you want to include vehicles.
Force on Force Tomorrows War really good for skirmish level or Outpost 13 for larger games (Company level). Some amazing figures out there - Khurusan Miniatures, GZG and Critical Mass Games to name a few
